Born and raised in Jerusalem, Yael eventually made a journey back to her French-Argentinian-Algerian roots. While living in southern Spain Yael was given a rare opportunity to learn the secrets of the Flamenco singing. After spending a few years in Spain under the wings of some of the biggest masters of Flamenco today, Yael finally created her own musical sound from the colorful worlds in which she was raised, an original style that fuses the Flamenco singing with the mediterranean music from her hometown Jerusalem, and the Spanish language with Hebrew. The result is a beautiful and communicative flamenco - Oriental music which is an original Spanish-Israeli creation.
Yael's first album "Latido" was recorded and produced in Spain along with Flamenco spanish musicians and Israeli musicians. The album was produced by Eran Horwitz, bass player and producer and the virtuoso spanish Flamenco guitar player Adriano Lozano. In the album Yael sings original songs written by her as well as traditional Flamenco materials, as well as some mesmerizing new editions to classics such as "Ne me quitte pas" by Jacques Brel and "Morenita".
On the stage Yael is accompined by some extraordinary musicians from the worlds of Flamenco and mediterranean music. Together they make the live concert a sensational experience, taking the audience on a joyful and emotional journey through the authentic sounds of Spain and Jerusalem.
Among her many cooperations Yael has also performed in special projects with the Andalusian Mediterranean Orchestra of Ashkelon, Nino Biton, Ilana Eliya, Ramon Heredia, Esperanza Fernandez and more.

יעל נולדה בירושלים למשפחה עם שורשים בארגנטינה, בצרפת ובאלג'יר. במסע שלה אל השורשים וההשפעות עליהן גדלה, יעל נסעה לספרד והתחברה לסצינת הפלמנקו בדרום.
הזמרים ששמעו אותה שרה נתנו לה הזדמנות נדירה ללמוד מקרוב את שירת הפלמנקו המסורתית העוברת מדור לדור, ובמהלך מספר שנים שהתה יעל בספרד תחת חסותם של מאסטרים גדולים בפלמנקו.
ביצירתה מיטיבה יעל ליצור שילוב מקורי בין שורשי הפלמנקו המסורתי לבין המוסיקה הים תיכונית מעיר הולדתה ירושלים. התוצאה היא מוסיקה מקורית וחדשנית העוברת בין הפלמנקו לים תיכוני, בין הספרדית לעברית, במעטפת מוסיקלית עשירה וסוחפת.
אלבום הבכורה שלה, לטידו, הוקלט בספרד בהפקה מוסיקלית של בן זוגה לחיים, נגן הבס ערן הורביץ, בשיתוף עם נגן הגיטרה הוירטואוז אדריאנו לוזאנו, ובהשתתפות נגנים בולטים בסצינת הפלמנקו של דרום ספרד. באלבום שירים מקוריים שכתבה והלחינה יעל לצד חומרים מסורתיים מעולם הפלמנקו, וכן ביצועים מרגשים ומפתיעים לקלאסיקות כגון הביצוע המיוחד לשיר הצרפתי "נה מה קיט פה" של ז'ק ברל ו"את לי לילה" של בועז שרעבי.
בהופעותיה מלווה יעל בהרכב נגנים משובח מתחום הפלמנקו והים תיכוני. יחד הם לוקחים את הקהל למסע מוסיקלי מרגש בין ספרד לירושלים.
יעל מרבה גם בשיתופי פעולה בפרוייקטים מיוחדים ועם אמנים בולטים מהארץ ומספרד, כגון נינו ביטון, התזמורת האנדלוסית אשקלון, אספרנסה פרננדז, רמון הרדיה, אילנה אליה ועוד.

Yael Horwitz es una cantante particular con un estilo original que fusiona el flamenco nativo gitano del sur de España con la musica de Jerusalén y del Medio Oriente.
Yael nació y creció en Jerusalén en una familia con raizes en Argentina, Algería y Francia. Después de haber vivido en España un par de años bajo la dirrección de grandes maestros de Flamenco, Yael creó su propia mezcla entre los mundos en los que ha ido creciendo. El resultado es una musica hermosa y comunicativa sobre la creación original española-israelí.
El primer proyecto de Yael, “Latido”, fue grabado y producido en el sur de España por Eran Horwitz - bajista y productor, y Adriano Lozano, guitarrista virtuoso de España, con la colaboración de unos de los mejores musicos de España y de Israel. El album incluye canciones originales en Español y Hebreo y canciones del mundo del flamenco. Yael también retoma algunos clásicos y les agrega una impactante edición, como "Ne me quitte pas" de Jackes Brel y "Morenita".
En el concierto en vivo Yael es acompañada por excelentes musicos del mundo flamenco y de la musica del medio oriente. Juntos crean una experiencia sensacional que lleva al público a vivir una jornada alegre y emocionante a través de sonidos auténticos de España y Jerusalén.
Entre sus colaboraciónes Yael actuo junto con grandes artistas de Israel y de España como la orchestra andalusa de Ashkelon, Esperanza Fernandez, Nino Biton, Ilana Eliya y mas.

Yael Horwitz est une chanteuse à part dotée d'un style original dans lequel se melangent le chant traditionel du sud de l'Espagne, avec la musique ethnique de Jerusalem et de la Mediterranee.
Yael est née et a grandi a Jerusalem, dans une famille d'origines d'Argentine, Algerie et France. Après avoir vécu en Espagne durant plusieurs années sous le patronage de grands maitres de flamenco, Yael a cree son style musical personnel entre les mondes dans lesquels elle a grandi. Le resultat est une musique magnifique et communicative qui est une création originale espagnole et israélienne.
"Latido", le premier projet de Yael a été enregistré dans le sud de l'Espagne et produit par Eran Horwitz et Adriano Lozano. L'album inclus de très belles chansons originales ainsi que d'autres venant du monde du flamenco traditionnel. Yael a aussi revisité quelques classiques ("Ne me quitte pas", "Morenita") et a donné a ces chansons une nouvelle interprétation époustouflante.
Pendant Le concert en "Live" Yael est accompagnée par des excellents musiciens du monde du flamenco et de la musique du Moyen - Orient. Ensemble ils créent une experience sensationnelle qui emmène le public dans un voyage joyeux et emotionnel a travers les sons authentiques de l'Espagne et de Jerusalem.

QUARTET
In this concert Yael is accompanied by three musicians: Flamenco guitar, cajon (plus extra percussion) and base. Despite the seemingly small group, together they produce a very rich and powerful sound. The musicians in this concert are from Spain and Israel, combining the flamenco playing with special touches of mediterranean and Israeli music. Mooving from quiet songs to stronger ones, with emotion and passion, Yael sings from her album "Latido" as well as pieces from the traditional Flamenco with her own interpretation.

We are proud to present to you Yael's new project, "DOS TIERRAS". Inspired by the many cooperations and the musicians she met throughout the years in Jerusalem, this concert is the result of Yael's search of the natural mix between the Flamenco and the music from her hometown Jerusalem. In this concert Flamenco is mixed with music inspired by the Jewish Kurdish music which is preserved in the Curdish community of Jerusalem.
Yael is accompanied by five musicians: Flamenco guitar, cajon, saz, base, drum set and oriental percussion. In addition to songs from the album and from the world of Flamenco - all done in a fresh and uplifting interpretation - in this concert Yael also gives place to the wonderful and rare musicians with her on stage. Together they make a powerfull and exciting new music - where the sounds of southern Spain meet Jerusalem roots.
